Our Hiring Process

At Hippo, we keep things simple. No endless hoops. No wasting your time. Just a clear, honest process that gets the right carers booked onto shifts quickly. Here’s how it works:

Fill out our quick form

Fill out our short form to check your experience and certifications.

We require at least six months of care experience before the interview stage.
It helps us make sure you’re properly prepared – and means we’re not wasting your time (or ours).

Not quite there yet? Come back when you are. We’ll happily consider you then.

Let's chat

If everything looks good, we’ll invite you for a relaxed video call with one of our team.

This is just a laidback conversation. We already know you’ve got the right experience – now we want to get to know you. Passion, attitude and personality matter just as much as qualifications.

All onboard(ing)

If we’re both happy, we move to compliance checks, references and any extra training needed.

Here’s how we’re different: We’ll never send you out unprepared. If there are gaps, we train you properly in-house. We’re passionate about investing in our people as we believe it benefits everyone!

Start securing shifts

Once you’re fully compliant, you’re ready to go.

We’ll get you booked onto shifts quickly, with the confidence that you’re fully trained and ready to deliver great care.

Ready to get started?

If you’ve got at least six months of care experience and you’re serious about delivering great care, we’d love to work with you.
